The epistolary art theory of Pedro Juan Nunez is printed on its Ratio breuis et expedita conscribendi genera epistolarum illustriora. Ex dictatis P. Iohan. Nunnesii Valentini (Zaragoza, 1596, and Valencia, 1607). In his manuscripts, however, devotes more attention and spread both the theory and models, exercises, examples and commentary on Cicero's epistles. A feature of the epistolary art of Núñez is the use of romance language, with much greater profusion than in his Rhetoric, which is almost nonexistent. Therefore we intend to clarify the reasons for this use and its role in teaching the art of letter writing in this author.
