L'arròs, el regadiu i el bon govern: les cartes i documents de Pasqual Caro en l'obra de Cabanilles

Abstract

Este artículo pretende demostrar la relación científica y personal de Cabanilles con determinados personajes del momento, especialmente con la familia de los marqueses de la Romana y en concreto con Pasqual Caro, hermano del segundo marqués de aquel título. Pasqual Caro, hasta ahora conocido por ser el administrador de las posesiones familiares en Moixent e introductor de mejoras en el cultivo y el riego es, en realidad, el autor del conocido como " informe Crillon" contra el cultivo del arroz. Éste y otros documentos que analizamos son suministrados por Caro a cabanilles para la redacción de sus Observaciones, ayudando a entender las fuentes de información del mosén.
