El mito de la historia del arte

Abstract

Reflexiones sobre la creación del mito de la Historia del Arte, es decir la conversión de la experiencia artística en reflexión histórica e ideológica. El desarrollo de esta disciplina se lleva a cabo a partir de un concepto tomado de la religión: el canon. Se verá también la manera cómo el arte convertido en religión, promueve la aparición de la disciplina que se encargará de crear el cuerpo de creencias necesarias para el mantenimiento de esta religión, y la serie sucesiva de impugnaciones que genera.
