Abstract

Hasta fechas recientes las etapas tardías de los asentamientos de raíz fenicia establecidos en las costas peninsulares y los procesos deintegración y asimilación en el mundo romano habían recibido una atención menor, minusvalorándose este periodo frente a lasnecesidades de investigación de la fase arcaica. Desde hace algunos años estos estudios se han revitalizado con vigor, siendo el análisis delas ramas económicas de esta línea una de las más desarrolladas, dada su importancia como motor original de muchos de los hechoshistóricos y testimonios arqueológicos ligados a esta etapa. En estas líneas focalizaremos esta mirada en la problemática específica de lasestructuras productivas-comerciales de Gadir/Gades, ciudad destacada del extremo-occidente atlántico fenicio, con un complejo proceso de integración en la órbita romana. Plantearemos un análisis multilineal de los procesos de evolución de sus sistemas económico-espacial y de las tecnologías asociadas, atendiendo a la clave comercial de este engranaje: la producción alfarero-salazonera. Analizaremos en cada una de estas líneas aspectos como la situación de talleres y saladeros, la tipología fornácea, las ánforas, las estampillas, etc., inicialmente por separado para fi nalmente plantear una síntesis general conclusiva confrontando todos estos datos con el discursohistórico general.
