The general aim of this research is to determine the elements that form the links of these invisible chains that retain these women, who currently reside in Valencia, within the prostitutional system. We had the testimony of eight women, five of whom have left the prostitution system and three of whom are still in prostitution. Interviews were analyzed, it was concluded that there is not only one single factor of long term permanence in the prostitution system. All women interviewed converge in the socioeconomic family background that has dragged them into prostitution.
