Resumen: Este estudio aborda en profundidad los beneficios fiscales asociados a las tasas locales, un aspecto crucial de la legislación tributaria municipal en España. Se analiza cómo los principios de legalidad y equivalencia, junto con la capacidad económica, influyen en la aplicación de exenciones, bonificaciones y otras formas de alivio fiscal en las tasas locales. Se examina la delimitación de las tasas frente a otros ingresos tributarios y se discute la jurisprudencia relevante que ilustra la aplicación de beneficios fiscales. El análisis destaca la importancia de equilibrar la recaudación eficiente con la justicia fiscal y el fomento de prácticas sostenibles y socialmente responsables a nivel local. Abstract: This study delves into the tax benefits associated with local taxes, a crucial aspect of municipal tax legislation in Spain. It explores how the principles of legality and equivalence, along with economic capacity, influence the application of exemptions, bonuses, and other forms of tax relief on local rates. The delineation of rates against other tax revenues is examined, and relevant case law illustrating the application of tax benefits is discussed. The analysis highlights the importance of balancing efficient revenue collection with tax fairness and the promotion of sustainable and socially responsible practices at the local level.
