Abstract

Abstract: We present the preliminary study of the ceramic and organic materials from the four Punic pits found in the excavations of the former Civil Guard barracks in Cádiz. In addition to the progress in the systematisation of the ceramic materials and organic remains (mammal, ichthyofauna and malacofauna), for the first time, radiocarbon dating has been undertaken to contribute to the dating of the structures and their fillings, which has allowed us to make progress in the temporalisation and dating of the wells and, therefore, to present a first temporal proposal for the appearance, evolution and disappearance of the associated rituals.
