RESUMEN: La revisión de dos de las líneas de investigación más relevantes en el ámbito de la didáctica de las ciencias, las relacionadas con el cambio conceptual y las concepciones alternativas, muestra una serie de debilidades metodológicas y teóricas que son las mismas que se señalan en seminarios de expertos que evalúan este ámbito. Las fallas teóricas y metodológicas sugieren que existen otros compromisos menos racionales para explicar la fuerte producción de trabajos en el ámbito.
ABSTARCT: Reviewing two of the most important lines of research in the field of Science Education, (conceptual change and alternative conceptions), the same series of methodological and theoretical weaknesses pointed out in professional seminars, has been revealed. The theoretical and methodological flaws suggest the existence of other less rational commitments to explain the intense production of works in this field.
