Abstract

RESUMEN: Uno de los aspectos más problemáticos en el proceso de lectura y menos trabajado en los grados iniciales, es el relacionado con la habilidad para sintetizar un texto. La capacidad de síntesis es una habilidad de pensamiento implicada en la comprensión lectora y en otras destrezas propias de la composición escrita. La producción escrita de un resumen, como cualquier actividad de composición, es una tarea primordialmente cognitiva, que puede verse restringida por los aspectos de orden mecánico inherentes a la escritura, como la legibilidad, la ortografía, el uso de mayúsculas, entre otros; y se convierten en una carga cognitiva que impide focalizar la atención en otras dimensiones más importantes como la planeación y la generación de contenido; además pueden generar apatía frente a la revisión.
