RESUMEN: El objetivo de este estudio es evaluar las principales propiedades físicas de una forma de dosificación sólida elaborada a base de fibra dietaría de residuos de naranja (citrus sinensis), mandarina (citrus reticuladora), limón (citrus limon), piña (Ananas comosus), y maracuya (Passiflora edulis). Los resultados de las pruebas fisicoquímicas (farmacotécnicas) preliminares muestran que las fibras de frutas en estudio presentan un comportamiento elástico. Finalmente, se encuentra que es posible elaborar por vía húmeda tabletas con fibra de maracuyá debido a sus propiedades de aglutinación.
ABSTRACT: The objective of this study is to evaluate the main physical properties of a solid dosage form made from dietary fiber from residues of orange (citrus sinensis), mandarin (citrus reticuladora), lemon (citrus limon), pineapple (Ananas comosus), and passion fruit (Passiflora edulis). The results of the preliminary physicochemical (pharmacotechnical) tests show that the fruit fibers under study show elastic behavior. Finally, it is found that it is possible to wet-process tablets with passion fruit fiber due to its binding properties.
