Abstract

Conjunto de 5 fichas formado por 1 separador y 4 fichas que forman unidad. El separador lleva por título “Anglicismo”. A continuación, puede leerse: “’filibustero’ voz de época”. El conjunto trata sobre la reticencia de los españoles emigrados a Inglaterra en tiempo de Fernando VII a aprender inglés (información tomada de la tesis doctoral de John Armstrong Crow, titulada “España vista por los románticos ingleses”) y la escasa influencia del inglés sobre el léxico español en el siglo XIX (información tomada de “Neuphilologische Monatsschrift”, 1930). Se incluyen anglicismos y referencias al estilo de Alcalá Galiano que tendía a imitar la prosa inglesa. La ficha 3 es una página de texto impreso con notas de don Ramón en el margen izquierdo. Se trata de: Menéndez Pidal, R. (1925): “El rey Rodrigo en la literatura”, p. 182, sobre los relatos en prosa escritos en inglés por Telesforo de Trueba y Cossío en torno a la figura del rey don Rodrigo y don Pelayo. La ficha 1 está escrita por María Goyri con título a lápiz de don Ramón: “Escaso anglicismo en emigrados”. La ficha 2 está escrita por mano no identificada.
