Abstract

We present a new classification for the robust human Levantine motifs, or Centelles type, according to their body proportions and the dynamic attitude presented. Based on the direction in which these dynamic motifs (walking or even running) were depicted on the decorated panels we can conclude that the most part of them were oriented going up the basins or rivers, where the rock shelters are located, always to the interior, to the Maestrazgo. This tendency can be explained because they can be the same groups occupying a large territory where they move around; or maybe because social or territorial conflicts factors aggravated by an aridity crisis (related to the 8.2 event). Different aspects related to the thematic, superimpositions, territorial distribution and the relationship with the occupation sites are addressed to offer a global definition for this artistic horizon
