Experiencias de lo cotidiano en los relatos de viajeros españoles en Portugal (siglo XVIII)

Abstract

Ante los escasos estudios que existen en el panorama historiográfico español y portugués sobre los relatos de viajes realizados por eruditos y estudiosos españoles a Portugal en el siglo XVIII, este trabajo pretende aportar nuevos datos y plantear determinadas reflexiones sobre esta cuestión. Se profundiza en los aspectos de la cotidianeidad del viaje en el siglo XVIII a partir de las vivencias de personajes como Francisco Pérez Bayer, Sebastián Sánchez Sobrino, Francisco Mariano Nipho, Rafael Rodríguez Mohedano, o los más conocidos como Campomanes o Cornide. También se dibujan algunos trazos de la vida cotidiana de los ciudadanos portugueses en el siglo XVIII a partir de los contactos descritos por estos observadores españoles.
