Marcadores del discurso de Caracas

Abstract

Se analizan los marcadores discursivos presentes en dos corpus de entrevistas, hechas en 1973 y 2004 a doce hablantes caraqueños cultos. Basándonos en la clasificación de Martín Zorraquino y Portolés (1999), identificamos y cuantificamos los diferentes tipos de marcadores; comparamos los resultados de ambas muestras con el fin de constatar los eventuales cambios. Los resultados indican que en ambas muestras: i) los marcadores conversacionales son los más empleados; y ii) las mujeres usan los marcadores un poco más frecuentemente que los hombres. En cuanto a la edad, los resultados difieren: en 1974, los hablantes de 35 a 54 años tienden a usar una mayor cantidad de marcadores, mientras que en 2004 son los hablantes más jóvenes quienes usan más marcadores discursivos. Los resultados sugieren que ha habido cambios importantes en el uso de los marcadores a lo largo de los últimos 40 años, lo que podrá confirmarse con mayor exactitud en estudios más amplios, basados en un mayor número de hablantes pertenecientes a diferentes grupos socioeconómicos.
