Baccalaureate is the post-compulsory stage of Secondary Education in which the transition from school to university takes place. This transition includes not only changes in the forms of teaching or in the teaching-learning strategies used, but also changes in the point of view about mathematics. When students enter university, the concepts studied in high school reappear, without offering them the opportunity to connect with what they learned previously. The teacher must be aware of these problems so that conflicts do not occur in student learning. Research in mathematics education can be a way to achieve this. This chapter highlights key aspects of the learning and teaching of Mathematics in High School organized in relation to the different mathematical senses.
