Abstract

Several issues are discussed in this paper: 1) the different implementation (and distribution) of the megaliths in each zone (or rather within) and its role in controlling the territory, 2) the diversity of megalithic manifestations and their role in justification of the social order, 3) the chronology of the phenomenon, from the discussions on its origin to its many «ends». Finally we propose that «collectivism» was a way of masking the social differences which began to be exhibited from 2500 cal BC.
