Cada día está adquiriendo mayor peso la formación por competencias en los dis¬tintos entornos educativos y laborales. La necesidad de contar con buenos profesionales que ejecuten sus funciones y tareas de un modo eficaz está latente en nuestra sociedad. Se requiere, por tanto, un estudio y análisis pormenorizado de las diferentes ocupaciones que encontramos en el entorno laboral, extrapolando las características esenciales de cada una de ellas con objeto de obtener una imagen del perfil profesional de dichas ocupaciones. Con este trabajo pretendemos acercarnos a los conceptos de competencia, compe¬tencias profesionales y perfil profesional, analizando sus principales características y matices. Se concluye con un marco general del perfil profesional del psicopedagogo, basado tanto en las competencias genéricas como específicas que presenta dicha figura.
Every day, training based on competences is showing a big relevance in different educational and professional framework. The need to rely on good professional people who make their tasks and duties in an effective way is something latent in our society. It is needed therefore, a study and detailed analysis of the different occupations that we find in the labour market, generalizing the essential characteristics of each one of them in order to get an image of the professional field of these occupations. In this paper we try to describe some concepts of competence, professional competence and professional profile, analyzing their main characteristics and notes. It is concluded with a general frame of the professional profile of the Educational Psychologist, based on the general and specific competence that shows this job.
