Multimodalidad, multiliteracidad y competencia comunicativa

Abstract

El término “literacidad” —“alfabetización” en su traducción habitual— ha conocido un desarrollo exponencial que, más allá de la competencia en lecto-escritura, supone el ejercicio del espíritu crítico en la comprensión/producción de significado en todo tipo de textos y sobre cualquier soporte. La hibridación de modos semióticos —lingüístico, visual y auditivo— que caracteriza los textos actuales requiere un acceso multimodal al que subyace una multiliteracidad esencial en la comunicación cotidiana y también, por ende, en la enseñanza/aprendizaje de idiomas. ¿Cabe presuponer, en este sentido, una mera transferencia de esta multicompetencia de la lengua materna a la lengua extranjera? Para examinar esta hipótesis, este capítulo aborda un estudio de caso realizado en la Facultad de Traducción e Interpretación de Granada.
