Abstract

The archaeological complex of Mas Castellar (Pontos, Girona) shows a field of silos that, at the present moment, is known to be 2,5 ha in size. The obliteration of these silos embraces a wide chronological range that goes from the VII century B.C. to 190-175 B.C. The present work will deal with the territorial extent of this system of silos'fields and its agricultural potentiality, its capacity of cereal's conservation and its evolution until the Roman dominion.
