In recent years, the techno-typological implications of the "atypical Mesolithic" from the South-eastern Pyrenees have been discussed. These techno-complexes have been usually considered as belonging to a period of crisis related to the emergence of the Holocene. This study analyzes the implication of these techno-complexes, focussing on the structural behaviours implied in the organisation of such technical option. The analysis of the chronometric frame -from the late Tardiglacial to the early Holocene- suggests that this technical option played a central role for the understanding of Postglacial hunter-gatherer lifestyles. Some thoughts about the emergence of the Neolithic in the South-eastern Pyrenees will be introduced as well.
