The Hellenistic-Roman center of Finziade stands on Monte Sant'Angelo di Licata, the easternmost elevation of a hill system that extends parallel to the coast, west of the mouth of the Salso River. Archaeological investigations, begun by the Agrigento Superintendency in the 1980s and continued by the Department of Ancient and Modern Civilizations of the University of Messina since 2003, while ongoing research is being conducted by the Archaeological Park of the Valley of the Temples in Agrigento in collaboration with the CNR-ISPC (National Research Council-Institute of Cultural Heritage Sciences) in Catania, are contributing to a more accurate reconstruction of the city's urban layout. This article illustrates the reconstruction study of the Hellenistic-Roman houses of Finziade.
