Abstract

This paper takes stock of the new cycle of archaeological investigations undertaken since 2022 in the sanctuary of Zeus Olympios of Akragas, in collaboration with the Archaeological Park. The research has expanded with the aim of reconstructing the topography, phases and functioning of the sanctuary as a whole, in a more concrete manner than has been attempted so far, starting with the system of accesses and terracing, on which an initial definition is provided.
