The research concerns the review and study of a sector of the Sanctuary of Zeus Olympios in Agrigento through a careful reading of the excavation diaries and the finds found during the excavations started in the 1950s. The reconstruction of the chronologies and the study of the wall structures have shown a different image of the two blocks located close to the great temple, distinguishing two different phases of life, one from the Theronian age, corresponding to the phase of monumentalisation of the sanctuary, and the other housing, starting from the 4th century BC.
