Palazzo d'Orléans Borbone

Abstract

La prima dimora di Luigi Filippo d'Orléans sovrano dei franccesi dal 1831 al 1848 si trova a Palermo ed é stata commissionata grazie al contributo dei suoceri Ferdinando e Maria Carolina di Borbone. Oggi accoglie la Presidenza della Regione Siciliana ed è sede di rappresentanza del Presidente. Sorta in epoca neoclassica subisce dei riammodernamenti alla fine del XIX secolo e possiede oggi una piccola collezione di opere d'arte voluta dal governo regionale grazie al reperimento presso il mercato antiquariale. Lo studio di alcuni dipinti ha permesso il ritrovamento presso la Biblioteca Regionale Siciliana di un disegno inedito Van Dyck
