A arte de ler. Ler para quê?

Abstract

This research’s main objective is assessing the habits and literary preferences, knowing why readers read and what they want to find. The sample consists of individuals with university degrees or attending the university. This selection criterion was chosen because the aim was finding a group of individuals with settled reading habits, according to our objectives. We want to know if, in a world where technology prevails and computers are a big attractive due to diversity and speed of offer, individuals can keep their reading habits and the importance it has in their lives. We also seek to find out whether they have the notion of sharing, communication and artistic creation implicit in the act of reading.
