Abstract

Bell pepper, either fresh or preserved, is one of the most common vegetables in the Romanian cuisine, being appreciated for its health benefits, which is why its cultivattion is extremely widespread throughout the country. The paper addresses scientifically the methods necessary for analyzing the economic efficiency of the pepper crop in the conventional and organic farming system by providing forecasts for the cultivation year 2017/2018. Using specific indicators, result indicators and profitability indicators were estimated production costs, prices and profitability per product unit, estimates that can be used in making decisions about future production cycle.
