Alta Sensibilidade de Processamento Sensorial e Funcionamento Sexual

O efeito mediador do Perdão-traço

Alta Sensibilidade de Processamento Sensorial e Funcionamento Sexual

Abstract

The primary objective of this study is to conduct a cross-sectional, comparative, correlational and inferential study with the aim of defining and testing hypotheses that relate the following variables analysed at the individual level: High Sensitivity of Sensory Processing; Sexual Functioning; Forgiveness-trait. That is, the present dissertation aims at analysing the relationship between High Sensitivity of Sensory Processing (HSP) and Sexual Functioning (MGH), taking into account the mediator factor of the Forced-Trait (PT). For this purpose, the Sociodemographic Questionnaire used, the High Sensitivity Scale - Highly Sensitive Person Scale (Aron, 2001., translated to the portuguese population by Pereira et. al, 2017), Sexual Functioning Questionnaire (MGH-SFQ – Labbate & Lare, 2001; Pereira, 2017) and Trait Forgivingness Scale (TFS - Berry, Worthington, O´Connor, Parrott & Wade 2005). These evaluation instruments applied to a sample of 1063 individuals (n = 1063), 364 males (H) (34.2%) and 691 females (F) (65.0%), aged 18 years or over (mean age obtained was 29 years of age (M = 29.27)). In general, the results point to the existence of a negative correlation between the HSP variable and the MGH variable. Likewise, the HSP variable correlates negatively with the variable PT. The MGH variable seems to correlate positively with the PT variable. The present study ends with a reflection on the practical implications of the relationship between the variables under study, presenting some limitations and suggestions for future research in this área.
