Entre a Moda e o Figurino

Abstract

Este projeto explora o design de Moda e o design de Figurino. O texto é uma reflexão sobre cada um dos designs, os seus processos de pensamento e os seus desenvolvimentos e execuções. Indica, também, uma alusão do envolvimento da moda com o figurino, no teatro e no cinema, e compara os propósitos de cada um. Tendo como ponto de partida A Casa de Bernarda Alba, de Federico García Lorca foram criados e confecionados uma coleção de moda e um figurino para teatro. Neste texto explica-se o processo de pensamento, de desenvolvimento e execução do design de Moda, do design Figurino e faz-se uma reflexão sobre as semelhanças e diferenças encontradas entre as poéticas associadas a cada um. Reflete-se igualmente sobre a relação da moda com o figurino no teatro e no cinema, e as funções atribuídas a cada um.

This project explores the Fashion design and the Costume design. The text is a reflection on each of the designs, their processes and their developments and executions. It also indicates an allusion to the involvment of fashion and costumes, in theatre or cinema. Taking as a starting point The House of Bernarda Alba, by Federico García Lorca, a fashion collection and a theatre costume were created and made. In this text is explained the process of thinking, of development and execution of Fashion design, of Costume design, and a reflection is made on the similarities and differences found between the poetics associated with each one. It also reflects on the relationship between fashion and costume in the theater and cinema, and the roles assigned to each.
