Espaço verde como envolvente cultural

Intervenção no Parque dos Marmelos, Oliveira do Hospital

Espaço verde como envolvente cultural

Abstract

Over time, the proposals for urban intervention have tended to value the built for social and economic development, sometimes forgetting the natural resources present in the territory. This has generated multiple problems in terms of territorial management, essentially in terms of the preservation of natural resources, which has led to the degradation of the urban image. In this context, this dissertation has as object of study the Parque dos Marmelos, an void green park located in Oliveira of the Hospital, of which a part of Ribeira de Cavalos forms part. The intention is to define intervention measures that allow the requalification of this space, aiming at the balance between the urban structure and the ecological structure, in order to contribute to its (re) integration in the urban network and, consequently, to citizens appreciation. In view of the problems described, the present work consists in the treatment of the park through a network of routes that allow the visit by the citizens, as well as guaranteeing the unity of the space, connecting the existing river with the building to be built. This intervention intends to improve the image quality of the city of Oliveira do Hospital.
