Histórias infantis e formação dos valores morais

Abstract

A presente investigação, subordinada ao tema Histórias Infantis e formação dos Valores Morais, insere-se na área da Educação para os Valores, pretendendo explorar as potencialidades da Literatura Infantil neste âmbito. Consistiu num estudo exploratório, recolhendo e analisando dados que nos permitissem estudar, captar e compreender a importância das histórias infantis no ensino dos valores morais a crianças. Foi valorizado o recurso a narrativas exemplares, defendido no âmbito do modelo da Educação do Carácter. Colaboraram neste estudo uma professora do 1º ciclo do ensino básico e vinte e duas crianças de nove anos de idade. Os resultados do estudo efectuado permitiram-nos concluir que, a leitura das histórias, seguida de entrevistas colectivas, facilitou a compreensão e discussão de valores morais, contribuindo para o desenvolvimento sócio-emocional e moral das crianças, nomeadamente nas formas como resolvem os seus dilemas e acatam, cumprindo, as leis internas dos diferentes contextos do seu quotidiano.

The present study, subordinated to the subject Children’s Stories and the formation of the Moral Values, is inserted in the area of the Education for the Values, having the intention to explore the potentialities of Children’s Literature in this field. We intend to do an exploratory study, gathering and analyzing data that allow us to study, to capture and to understand the importance of the children’s stories in the teaching of the moral values to children. The resource to narrative examples was valued, as defended in the field of the model of the Education of Character. For this study collaborated together a primary teacher and twenty two children, nine years of age. The results of the accomplished study allowed us to conclude that, the reading of the stories and to the following collective interviews made it easy to understand and discuss moral values, contributing to the socioemotional and moral development of the children.
