Melhoria contínua através do Kaizen

Abstract

The increase in market competitiveness has led companies to search for tools and methodologies to improve productivity and workplace organization at a fairly low price. The 5S it’s an example of the tools that allow the achievement of that organization, in a way that makes working places more efficient in terms of quality and productivity. This dissertation may contribute for the benefit of companies and organizations that wish to or already apply the 5S methodology, as it is a system that focuses on increasing productivity and efficiency, removing waste and reducing costs. It’s also verified that other methodologies related to continuous improvement have been analyzed. Among those methodologies, the Kaizen outstands. As so, this dissertation pretends to clarify the whole process of continuous improvement through tools and the analysis of a case study fulfilled in a company connected to the foodservice that is in its growing phase and pretends to stay ahead in the market with the best offers.
