Alice Vieira e Luísa Ducla Soares dão voz a duas adolescentes que tornam protagonistas dos diários A Vida nas Palavras de Inês Tavares e Diário de Sofia & C.ª, respectivamente, e que buscam no conhecer-se em movimentos introspectivos e até retrospectivos entre a identidade e a alteridade – os amigos, os pais, os avós e outros adultos - caminhar e conhecer o mundo. Nessa caminhada descobrem que é preciso estarem atentas. Luísa Ducla Soares e Alice Vieira promovem a emancipação adolescente e feminina ao apresentarem directa ou subtilmente as cores de que é feito esse mundo, por um lado de generosidade, de sabedoria e de autenticidade adolescentes, mas por outro também de hipocrisia, de contradição e de alienação adultos. Quando cotejados, os diários mostram, qual retrato histórico, a mudança e a permanência: a sociedade evolui e está cada vez mais mediática, tecnológica, consumista e globalizada; ou, afinal, permanece estática, pois o papel, o valor, o poder da mulher e também do adolescente ainda é frágil. Os diários revelam a sua faceta pedagógica: é preciso mostrar aos adolescentes as armadilhas ideológicas e culturais e para que isso aconteça eles têm de sentir vontade ou pelo menos rir um pouco para que as vidas deles tenham mais significado. Inês ainda há-de ser escritora e Sofia jornalista ou apresentadora de televisão e com as suas profissões hão-de proporcionar às gerações vindouras um mundo melhor. Apesar da qualidade destes diários juvenis e de o género a que pertencem estar em voga, os mesmos não enchem nos nossos dias os escaparates das livrarias.

Alice Vieira and Luísa Ducla Soares give voice to two teenagers who become main characters of the diaries: A Vida nas Palavras de Inês Tavares and Diário de Sofia & C ª, respectively, and which seek in knowing themselves in the introspective and even retrospective movements between identity and alterity - friends, parents, grandparents and other adults - walk and see the world. In this journey they discover that they must be alert. Luísa Ducla Soares and Alice Vieira promote adolescent and female emancipation by presenting whether directly or finely the colors that make up that world, on the one hand of generosity, wisdom and teenager authenticity, but also of the other part of hypocrisy, contradiction, and adult alienation. When confronted, the diaries show, as an historical picture, the change and permanence: the society is evolving and growing mediatical, technological, consumerist and globalized, or, after all, it remains static, as the role, the value, women's power and also of the adolescent is still fragile. The diaries reveal their pedagogical aspect: it is necessary to show teenagers the cultural and ideological traps and for that to happen they have to feel like it or at least laugh a little so that their lives have more meaning. Inês still is to be a journalist and Sofia a journalist or TV presenter and with their professions they will provide future generations a better world. Despite the quality of these youth diaries and the kind they belong to are in vogue, they do not fill the bookstores shelves these days.
