Abstract

The master's degree project submitted has as its title "the use of digital printing as Art/Fashion connection". It begins with a study of the history of printing since antiquity, referring to the benefits of the technique and its importance. In the next chapter is made a specific approach to digital printing and its processes of creation, playing in technical aspects that contribute to the final product. After, there is a survey of alternatives to digital printing, showing in a simplified form their creation processes and a short analysis of its strengths and weaknesses. After an evaluation on digital printing and its alternatives, there is a relationship between art, fashion and printing, giving some examples of how they combine and relate to one another. Before we proceed to the practical work, is made a current survey of where collections are applied to digital printing, an analysis of what has been done in a relatively short period of time. Order panels are held by inspiration, sketches and digital manipulations in patterns as endproduct support, where a collection is presented.
