Abstract

The present internship report, prepared within the scope of the Pedagogical Internship Curricular Unit, of the 2nd Cycle of Studies in Teaching Physical Education in Primary and Secondary Education at the University of Beira Interior, aims to conclude the academic training, thus allowing the attainment of the Master's Degree in the respective course for the academic year of 2022/2023. The document will describe all the experiences, reflections, and conclusions that the intern has gained and achieved throughout the pedagogical internship held at Campos Melo Secondary School in the academic year of 2022/2023. The report will discuss, in a succinct and objective way, the process inherent to the internship, the challenges encountered, the strategies used to overcome them, the learnings, and the experiences that resulted from the necessary path to refine the training of a Trainee Teacher in such a complex and rich curricular area as Physical Education. The structure of this report is organized into two fundamental chapters. The first chapter presents an overview of the school and the physical education group. It describes the pedagogical intervention of the intern teacher, addressing the entire process related to intervention in the organization and management of teaching and learning for the 2nd and 3rd cycles of Basic Education and Secondary Education throughout the pedagogical internship. It also discusses the intern teacher's participation in the school, School Sports, and interaction with the environment. Finally, it will reference the relationship with the community, the role of the Physical Education teacher in class supervision, and the relationship developed with the school community. In the second chapter, the entire process of pedagogical research and innovation is described, aiming to study the effect of plyometric training in School Basketball, regarding vertical jump, acceleration speed, and change of direction. The total number of participants was 16, divided into an experimental group (n=8) and a control group (n=8). Data analysis was performed using a two-way ANOVA (p= 0.05). The study results indicate significant improvements in vertical jump performance by the experimental group compared to the control group. Thus, plyometric training is recommended for enhancing vertical jump in young basketball players, taking into account all the implications that School Sport currently has at school.

O presente relatório de estágio, elaborado no âmbito da Unidade Curricular Estágio Pedagógico, do 2º Ciclo de Estudos em Ensino de Educação Física nos Ensinos Básico e Secundário da Universidade da Beira Interior, tem o propósito de concluir a formação académica, permitindo assim a obtenção do Grau Mestre no respetivo curso para o ano letivo 2022/2023. O documento irá descrever todas as experiências e reflexões que o professor estagiário vivenciou ao longo do Estágio Pedagógico realizado na Escola Secundária Campos Melo. Será discutido, de forma sucinta e objetiva, o processo inerente ao Estágio Pedagógico, os desafios encontrados, as estratégias utilizadas para superar os mesmos, as aprendizagens e as experiências que foram fruto do caminho necessário para lapidar a formação de um Professor Estagiário, numa área curricular tão complexa e rica, como é a Educação Física. A estrutura deste relatório está organizada em dois capítulos fundamentais. O primeiro capítulo, apresenta uma contextualização da escola e do grupo de educação física. Descreve a intervenção pedagógica do professor estagiário, sendo abordado todo o processo relativo à intervenção na organização e gestão do ensino e aprendizagem relativos ao 2º e 3º Ciclo do Ensino Básico e o Ensino Secundário ao longo do Estágio Pedagógico realizado no ano letivo 2022/2023. É também abordada a participação do professor estagiário na escola, no Desporto Escolar e a interação com o meio. Por fim, será referenciada a relação com a comunidade, o papel do PE no acompanhamento da direção de turma e a relação desenvolvida com a comunidade escolar. No segundo capítulo é descrito todo o processo de investigação e inovação pedagógico e teve como objetivo estudar o efeito do treino de pliometria no Desporto Escolar de Basquetebol, relativamente à impulsão vertical, à velocidade de aceleração e à mudança de direção. O total de participantes foi 16, divididos em um grupo experimental (n=8) e um grupo controlo (n=8). A análise dos dados foi realizada através da variância de duas vias ANOVA (p= 0,05). Os resultados do estudo indicam uma melhoria significativas relativamente à impulsão vertical por parte do grupo experimental comparativamente com o grupo controlo. Desta forma, o TP é indicado para potenciar a impulsão vertical de jovens praticantes de basquetebol, tendo em conta todas as implicações que o Desporto Escolar, atualmente apresenta na escola.
