Abstract

The purpose of this reflection is to observe how the literary discourse inscribes in itself the aesthetic signs, (un) veiling criteria, processes and aspects of the fictionalization of the imagination. Thus, not only the imagination shows itself in progress, but it also highlights the consciousness of its mechanisms. For that purpose, strategic examples will be used, with emphasis on "Num Bairro Moderno" (1877) by Cesário Verde (1855-1986), one of the precursors of our aesthetic modernity.
