Gravuras Rupestres do Alagadouro

Abstract

O complexo de arte rupestre do vale do Tejo é constituído por milhares de gravuras, destacando-se como um dos maiores conjuntos de ar rupestre ao ar livre da Europa. Estas gravuras permitem-nos ter acesso à visão que os seus criadores tinham do mundo através, sobretudo, da sua religiosidade. Perdido para sempre sob as águas agitadas do tejo, este tesouro sobrevive hoje graças à acção de um grupo de investigadores que salvaguardou a sua memória com a ajuda de moldes de látex, permitindo que, ainda hoje, possa ser estudado. A ausência de informação completa, passados 40 anos da descoberta dos painéis, faz crescer a fascinação e o desejo de saber mais. O estudo dos moldes da estação do Alagadouro insere-se na necessidade de realizar um corpus das figuras do complexo, mas também de perceber os factores e riscos de degradação destes mesmo moldes e explicar um pouco qual é verdadeiramente o trabalho realizado pelo investigador em arte rupestre, sendo por isso um trabalho de recolha de dados, mas também de conservação.
