Abstract

Se assumirmos as affordances como manifestação da interação direta entre as efetividades de quem age e os constrangimentos do envolvimento onde se age (Chemero, 2003), podemos questionar se a alteração dos constrangimento da tarefa (Newell, 1984), expressos nas propriedade físicas dos materiais desportivos pode propiciar, per se, ajustamentos conducentes a um padrão motor mais maduro (e.g., Gagen & Getchell, 2004). A manipulação de constrangimentos dos objetos com que interagimos também permite obter conhecimento sobre parâmetros que propiciam alteração do comportamento motor (e.g., Davis & Burton, 1991). Chase, et al. (1994) com base nos resultados de um estudo com crianças entre os 9 e os 12 anos, propuseram a redução do tamanho da bola e da altura do cesto em Basquetebol. Simões e Catela (2011), num estudo em que colocaram crianças jogadoras de Hóquei em Patins, a executar condição e passe com stiques de comprimentos diferentes, verificaram que as crianças faziam ajustamentos posturais e dinâmicos em função do comprimento do stique, umas vezes com compromisso outras vezes com vantagem para a qualidade da execução motora.
