O tempo do nosso tempo

Abstract

Como é o tempo do nosso tempo? Em que tempo vivemos? Quais são as características que melhor o definem? Poder-se-á dizer que, o desenvolvimento das últimas três décadas, não foi uma rutura com os campos sociais que moldaram a experiência do indivíduo moderno. Assistimos, isso sim, não a uma rutura, mas a uma recomposição dessa experiência dentro dos limites estreitos de um individualismo cada vez mais desinstitucionalizado. Portanto, é mais adequado adjetivarmos o momento em que vivemos como um tempo realmente pouco fraturante e falarmos, tal como o fazia Bauman (2006), de uma sociedade líquida. Isto quer dizer que, apesar das profundas mudanças sociais que têm ocorrido, ainda perduram muitos dos mundos sociais e simbólicos que moldaram o que se entende por modernidade.
