ABSTRACT: This thesis is focused on the analysis of the mediating function of psychic bisexuality of a transexual subject, according to the Rorschach method. The purpose was to understand how the disruption of this function influences the disturbance of of gender identity constitution in the case of an F-M transsexual. The protocol analysis revealed an integration difficulty regarding the masculin and feminin opposites in the transsexual subject showing a low capacity of bisexual mediation. The presence of the incompleteness theme, the absence of symbolization, anxieties of annihilation and of disintegration, as well as a fragility of the psychic envelope, were observed. The quest for sex reassignment appears to be a way of narcissistic repair, a search for identity.
