Contratransferência e mecanismos de defesa - Indicadores de mudança no processo psicoterapêutico

Abstract

------ ABSTRACT ------- The controversial and complex concept of countertransference underwent numerous changes over the past 100 years. The purpose of this literature review is to deepen the meanders of the concept of countertransference, using a theoretical and empirical perspective, to review it since its inception, with Freud, to the present day, in order to deepen and make a critical reflection about its controversy, taking into account the two prevailing views about the concept, which are the “classical perspective” and the "totalistic perspective" of countertransference. The contributions in the evolution of the concept were offered essentially by authors who present their vision of countertransference based on their theoretical perspective, neglecting empirical research.
