O jogo e a timidez em crianças em idade pré-escolar

Abstract

O presente relatório incide sobre o jogo e a timidez em crianças em idade pré escolar e desenvolveu-se no âmbito da prática de ensino supervisionada (PES), que decorreu num jardim de infância em Faro, junto de um grupo de 14 crianças com idades compreendidas entre os 5 e 6 anos. No presente estudo, de cariz quantitativo, tivemos como principal objetivo identificar e comparar o comportamento de crianças com diferentes graus de timidez em situação de jogo. Assim, a timidez foi medida tendo por base as respostas dos respetivos encarregados de educação à versão short do questionário Children Behavior Questionnare (CBQ). Para analisar e identificar o comportamento das crianças com diferentes graus de timidez em situação de jogo, recorremos à implementação de uma sessão didática e posterior observação da gravação efetuada à mesma. As principais conclusões que ressaltam deste estudo são que as crianças com diferentes graus de timidez, consoante a situação de jogo em que se encontrem (mais ou menos condicionada) revelam comportamentos distintos. Na fase menos condicionada, o grupo com menor grau de timidez foi o único que apresentou a categoria de comportamento “Procurou a ajuda do adulto”, enquanto que no grupo com maior grau de timidez essa categoria não foi evidente. Relativamente à fase com mais condicionamentos, verificámos que o grupo com maior grau de timidez é aquele que apresenta maiores valores na categoria de comportamento “Parou de correr”, comparativamente com o grupo com menor grau de timidez.
