Abstract

Se ha controlado la ganancia en peso vivo y depósito de grasa, por ultrasonido, en 169 cerdos ibéricos divididos en dos lotes sometidos a régimen de aprovechamiento de montanera. El lote testigo se alimenta según el régimen tradicional y al lote experimental se da una ración extra de 200 g de harina de soja por cabeza y día. Para un error del 1 p. 100, hay diferencias en las ganancias en peso vivo, superando el lote experimental al testigo en 5,7 Kg por cabeza y período de montanera. No existen diferencias significativas en la deposición de grasa del panículo adiposo, 33,52 mm de espesor en el lote testigo y 29,64 mm en el experimental. En este trabajo se da el caso excepcional de que las hembras no están castradas.

The gain in live weight and fat deposit has been controlled ultrasonically in 169 Iberian pigs divided into two lots all feeding on a mountain pasture diet. The witness lot was fed according to the traditional diet and the experimental lot was given a supllementay ration of 200 grns, of soya flour per head a day. For an error of 1 per 100, there are differences of gains in the live weights, the experimental lot surpassing that of the witness lot by 5.7 kgs per head. No significant differences exist in the depositing of fat the adipose panicle, 33.52 mm. thickness in the witness lot and 29.64 mm. in the experimental. In this work an exceptional tase is given in that the females were not castrated.
