Las Pinturas Rupestres del ?Risco de los Altares? (Salamanca)

Abstract

[Rock of the Altars], situated on a large crest of quartz and orientated east-west shows a group of paintings of a quite significant schematic style. Five pictorial phases showed on the different panels point at five different chronological moments, which can be defined as the Bronze Age I-II up to the Middle of the Iron Age. It is interesting to note on the main panel a group of pictures which we interpret as a scene of dance.
