Ocultaci?n y presencia autorial en las fiestas por las dobles bodas reales de 1599

Abstract

En el presente trabajo proponemos una aproximaci?n a las fiestas por las dobles bodas reales de 1599 prestando especial atenci?n a los procesos de generaci?n de la autorialidad y, en concreto, a la inestabilidad y fluidez que la caracterizaron en este contexto de fiesta p?blica. Aunque varios de los textos producidos para la ocasi?n salieron de las plumas de escritores de primera fila, su autor?a queda muchas veces oculta en el contexto cortesano, donde primaba la figura del monarca sobre otras consideraciones individuales. No obstante, la nueva situaci?n social de estos mismos escritores en el campo literario de finales del siglo XVI supuso la emergencia de una individualidad autorial novedosa, lo que conllev? a que tuvieran una mayor visibilidad en el contexto de unas fiestas p?blicas. Como mostraremos a lo largo de estas p?ginas, las celebraciones de 1599 suponen un interesante caso donde examinar el lugar que estos escritores pod?an ocupar en el contexto de unas fiestas p?blicas y el c?mo se pod?a percibir una tensi?n entre un evento dise?ado para mayor gloria del rey y de su corte, y la pulsi?n por obtener reconocimiento y mercedes que motivaba una parte fundamental del quehacer de estos literatos.
