Abstract

[Es]Las composiciones incidentales del polif?cetico artista alem?n Kurt Schindler, como la mayor parte de su obra, manifiestan la simbiosis de estilos musicales de este ni?o prodigio formado con los mejores maestros en Berl?n que, siguiendo la figura cl?sica del jud?o errante, abandon? su prometedora carrera como compositor y director de la ?pera de Munich para exiliarse en Nueva York y hacerse de nuevo un nombre como fundador y director de la Schola Cantorum. Aunque s?lo es conocido por su cancionero p?stumo de Espa?a y Portugal (1941), unas cuantas partituras de m?sica incidental permanecen in?ditas hoy en d?a, y gracias a su epistolario sabemos que, a su muerte, sus herederos cobraron de CIFESA los derechos por su autor?a de la m?sica en la pel?cula Nobleza baturra (1935). El an?lisis de las partituras manuscritas de su m?sica incidental se complementan con los datos in?ditos sobre la composici?n de estas obras extra?dos de su epistolario, lo que nos permite dibujar el perfil de este artista, donde los estudios musicol?gicos sobre la m?sica espa?ola del siglo de oro se complementan con sus famosas armonizaciones de m?sica popular rusa y espa?ola, abarcando facetas tan amplias como organista del Templo Emmanuel de Manhattan, editor musical de Schrimer o fot?grafo de la cultura tradicional de la pen?nsula ib?rica.
