Abstract

[EN] The publication of children?s and young people?s books is one of the stronger publishing fields nowadays, having a continuous growth since the 1980s, however the studies about it are limited. That is the reason why a study about this area in the Autonomy of Galicia is presented, by collecting the records included in the ISBN database. Based on the analysis of different variables as offering editorial, recommended ages, translations, publication and original languages, geographic distribution, gender, subjects among others, the more important aspects of the Galician children and youth edition between 2000-2014 are exposed and compared to the national edition, establishing a number of conclusions about the behavior of this publishing subfield.
