[ES]Como reacci?n al colonialismo europeo del siglo XIX surgi? en las sociedades musulmanas un movimiento de lucha contra el imperialismo y de reforma de la religiosidad para superar la vulnerabilidad frente a Occidente. Es el conocido como reformismo isl?mico, que ha ejercido una influencia decisiva en la vida social y pol?tica de los pa?ses musulmanes desde su nacimiento hasta la actualidad, y que ha dado lugar a interpretaciones y organizaciones de muy diversa orientaci?n.
[EN]As a reaction to the 19th century European colonialism, a movement rose up in the Muslim societies to struggle against imperialism and to reform Islamic piety in order to get over the vulnerability before the West. It is the so called Islamic Reform, which has decisively influenced the social and political life of the Muslim countries from its beginning until nowadays life and has led to different interpretations and organizations.
