Tardog?tico versus Renacimiento

Abstract

En este trabajo se escoge la ciudad de Salamanca como ejemplo para asistir a la transici?n (tardog?tico-renacimiento), repasando las circunstancias hist?ricas y culturales que contextualizan los cambios. Los horizontes se ampl?an gracias a los viajes y la movilidad. Se hace un repaso a algunos de los m?s importantes mecenas y humanistas de la ciudad en el siglo XVI, al tiempo que se tienen en cuenta a los viajeros que atrajo la ciudad. Otro apartado est? dedicado al mundo de los libros, con un repaso de la presencia de los dos tratadistas imprescindibles de los nuevos tiempos: Vitruvio y Alberti. Se da cuenta de los ejemplares existentes en la Biblioteca Hist?rica de la Universidad de Salamanca u otros citados documentalmente, tratado de desvelar su procedencia, posesi?n o utilizaci?n. El ?ltimo apartado se dedica a reflejar los intereses anticuarios, patentes en algunos profesores del claustro universitario. Simult?neamente, se pone de relieve la opci?n consciente por el lenguaje tardog?tico.
