[EN] Video games as an audiovisual form have entered inside our lives through the most recent pop culture, and they seem resolved to stay there. Its modernity is a hard fact, and this, added to the fact that video games always are bred from the most recent technology, makes them an art form hard to link with preceding traditions. However, if we see video games as different arts joining together, we can connect them with Wagner?s notion of Gesamtkunstwerk (total artwork), an utterly romantic idea, although its roots are born into more ancient traditions.
