Abstract

Apresenta-se a visita virtual à Arriba Fóssil de Costa de Caparica como exemplo de itinerário interactivo, estratigráfico e paleontológico, para ilustrar a história geológica da região distal da Bacia do Baixo Tejo, desde o Paleogénico até o Actual. Procura-se facilitar a compreensão da génese e constituição geológica da Arriba fóssil de Costa de Caparica. Refere-se o sismo de 1755 e documenta-se a sua importância na “fossilização” da Arriba.
